Larousse Multilingual combines three bilingual dictionaries:
- Larousse Chambers (French/English): 250 000 words and expressions, 400 000 translations, pronunciation of 50 000 words;
- Larousse French/Spanish: 90 000 words and expressions, 120 000 translations, pronunciation of 50 000 words;
- Larousse French/German: 90 000 words and expressions, 120 000 translations.
These dictionaries benefit from a common interface which helps users to navigate from one dictionary to another. Several supplementary language tools are also provided:
- grammatical notes for each language;
- conjugations of all the verbs in French, English, Spanish and German;
- historical and cultural notes;
- an audio guide to oral communication for each language;
- a guide to written communication (only in English).
Various consultation modes make searching easier:
- using the index;
- by keywords;
- by topic (usage or regionalism criteria);
- in expressions and proverbs;
- in the text as a whole.
